This device is an advanced direct conversion receiver foroperation up to 470MHz. The design is based on the SL6609Abut is specifically designed for use in very small pagers i.e.credit card sized, where local oscillator re-radiation is aproblem.
This design has overcome this difficulty.The device also includes a 1 volt regulator capable ofsourcing up to 5mA, a battery flag and the facility of incorporatinga more complex post detection filter off-chip. Both battery flagand data outputs have open collector outputs to ease theirinterface with other devices.
Adjacent channel rejection is provided using tuneablegyrator filters. To assist operation in the presence of largeinterfering signals both RF and audio AGC functions areprovided.
